Maybe the developers had it in mind that it would be a natural for transporting families to one of the best family destinations in the world – Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Since then, the U.S. has taken a pass on the seven seat compact (at least for this generation), in a move that General Motors of Canada staff consider short sighted.
In our extended drive from Toronto to Port Carling, we find the drivetrain a bit lackadaisical on the constant up/down roads of Ontario cottage country. It’s nothing that can’t be overcome with a persistent right foot, but it gets tiresome after a while. Flat sections return a consistently quiet ride, with the LTZ offering a firmer experience, thanks to standard 18-inch lower-profile rubber.
But the best experience in driving Orlando is not about how much fun you can have driving the challenging roads of cottage country, but rather in getting the entire family up to the cottage for a weekend of fun in as comfortable a manner as possible.
