Styled at Hyundai's Design and Technical Centre at Namyang, the Veloster coupe is the third
in a series of daring concept cars to be developed by the company's central styling studio
in Korea. The Veloster name, a combination of velocity and roadster, evokes the sporty
characteristics of a sporty two-plus-two. A panoramic glass roof and other futuristic
styling cues help project a high-tech image.
Designed to cater to the tastes of the so-called Y-generation, Veloster combines simple,
iconic design with good value and robust construction.
"With Veloster, we wanted to try something really different. We're keenly aware that we
need radically new products for the Y-generation, the first-time buyer in their twenties,"
said Oh Suk-Geun, Hyundai's vice president of design. "This is really a bold new
direction."Styled at Hyundai's Design and Technical Centre at Namyang, the Veloster coupe is the third

From Hyundai's European Design Studio in Russelsheim, Germany, comes the phat and fast Accent SR Turbo, looking every inch a design study of the next Hyundai World Rally Car, mooted to debut mid 2007 for a tilt at the 2008 season.
Accent SR will headline Hyundai's display at the Melbourne International Motor Show this week, along with the just-launched Grandeur large luxury sedan and the dressed-to-impress Getz SXi.
Based on the three-door hatch variant of the coming new generation MC Accent range, SR has the purposeful look of a high performance small car with wide tracks front and rear, big flares framing outsize alloys, lowered sports suspension, body kit and big tailpipes.
SR's bulging wheel arch flares stretch over chromed 18 inch alloy wheels shod with sticky 225/40 series low profile, high performance tires pushed out wide front and rear.
SR's flared look extends all along the sides of the car with Accent SR-badged deep side-sill skirts fitted.

A new 3-door Honda Civic breaks cover at the British International Motor Show in July. The Civic Type S shares the same platform and overall dimensions as the 5-door Civic, but it has a sportier look and feel, with re-tuned suspension to deliver sharper cornering. The car will go on sale in Europe in January 2007. It is not clear if the model will be offered in the North American market.
Civic Type S is aimed at younger customers wanting style and performance in a 3-door package. It joins the 5-door and Type R Concept to complete the Civic line-up for Europe.
Exterior styling is bold, with sculpted side skirts flaring towards both the front and rear wheels and blended into the wheelarch surrounds. These then flow into the front and rear spoilers to complete the lower body structure, all of which is finished in a gun metal finish.
